Perth Glory Leap Over Wellington Phoenix in A-League Action

Australia's Perth Glory defeated the Wellington Phoenix and in doing so jumped ahead of the New Zealand club in the A-League table. 21-year-old Nikita Rukavytsya continued his strong showing this season by scoring two goals in the match. He now has five goals on the campaign.

In other A-League action from the weekend, the Newcastle Jets lost to the Queensland Roar by a score of 2-1. Scottish midfielder Charlie Miller notched the game winner. He has six goals on the season.

Also, Sydney FC and the Central Coast Mariners tied 3-3. Central Coast Mariners forward Matt Simon finished with a brace and now leads the A-League with 7 goals.
