Linfield FC and Derry City Win in Setanta Sports Cup Action

Linfield FC defeated Glentoran FC by a score of 3 - 1 in Belfast and Derry City held St. Patrick's Athletic scoreless in their 2 - 0 victory in Ireland's Setanta Sports Cup action.

The Setanta Sports Cup pits four teams from the Republic of Ireland' s FAI eircom League of Ireland and four teams from Northern Ireland's Irish Premier League.

The competition which began in 2005 has been won by the Republic of Ireland's Drogheda United two years running.

The final is set for October 18th, 2008.
